Financial Aid
Joining the Solebury School community requires a significant financial investment. The primary responsibility for financing a student's independent school education rests with his or her extended family first. Because Solebury School is committed to making the excellence of our program available to a diverse group of students regardless of family financial circumstances, grants are awarded based upon demonstrated financial need. Priority is given to returning students, children of alumni, academically successful students.
Approximately 30% of our students receive at least some financial aid. Grants are based on demonstrated family need. Financial aid is limited, so it is important to complete the financial aid process early. Solebury School uses the Parent Financial Statement (PFS) which can be found at http://www.nais.org/financialaid/sss

Trustees Merit Scholarship Program - Solebury School welcomes approximately 65 new students to our community each year. For these young adults, their years at Solebury will open minds and open doors. The best of these incoming students are eligible for our Trustee’s Merit Scholarship Program with awards ranging from $2,500 to $10,000.
Solebury’s Trustees Merit Scholarship Awards are based on the candidate's demonstrated academic achievement, intellectual curiosity, leadership, contributions to the school community, and our assessment of the student’s potential to significantly contribute to, and enhance, the educational experience for all Solebury students. Each candidate will be evaluated at his or her grade level. The scholarships will be renewed on a yearly basis throughout the student's career at Solebury, contingent upon the recipient's remaining in good standing socially and academically.
